ANANSEFEST 2013 NATIONAL LAUNCH

The much awaited launch which was held at the Exhibition Hall of the National Theatre started around 10am with an opening prayer by Mr. Charles Crabbe and the M.C was Mr. Prince Ackuaku.

Being attended by over 300 persons, the event was chaired by Mr. Nat Nunoo Amarteyfio and honoured by Dr. Bernice Heloo (Deputy Minister for Environment, Science, Technology and Information). The event was very precise and crisp. After the Chairperson’s opening remarks there was a presentation of ANANSEFEST 2013 by the Artistic Director of Ananseman Playhouse, Wakefield Ackuaku. Afterwards a film from the previous edition was shown.

After a short goodwill message from the representative of the Director-General of the Ghana Education Service (GES)-Mr. Freeman Aguri, the honourable Deputy Minister gave a goodwill message and launched officially ANANSEFEST 2013.

After the Chairperson’s interesting closing remarks, the closing prayer was said. Before the refreshment session, Wakefield took chance to introduce some dignitaries and asked the Director of Buster Films Füsun Eriksen to give a message. The refreshments were taken as interactions went on and gradually the event went to a close
